The Six Nations Writers
We are a group of writers who write in all genres. We meet regularly to share our work, encourage each other and promote writing to others in the community. We are dedicated storytellers who continue to create new works to add to the literary market. We also work toward protecting the survival of our older stories for the enjoyment of generations to come.

Our History
The Six Nations Writers were born in the fall of 2001 from a core group of writers that attended a series of writing workshops called The Six Nations Festival of Words. We continue to meet on a weekly basis and are active in working on projects that will strengthen the literary arts at Six Nations.
Our Web Site
We launched our web site on March 19, 2002. Our presence on the Internet has only strengthened our literary circle with the many new contacts and friends we have made. Our web site has been an excellent vehicle to share our stories with others. We continue to update our site so come back and visit us often.
Young Voices
The Six Nations Writers believe in supporting the literary talent of our youth. To that end, we feature the efforts of our young writers on our web site. We encourage them to nurture their writing talent so that they may continue to tell the stories of our people.
Treasured Tales
The Six Nations Writers are aware of the value of our stories to our culture and way of life. In an effort to conserve our old stories before any more become extinct, we continue to work on a continual basis to preserve these wonderful stories so that they may be enjoyed by future generations.
Community Involvement
The Six Nations Writers are dedicated to the health and well being of our community. We celebrate our culture with pride in all that we do. Our writers share a common goal to motivate and empower others to write their stories. We are committed to helping them and we strive to play a productive part in our community of Six Nations of the Grand River.
