David Andrew Scott

Visual manipulation of images, combining surrealism, collage, music culture, and modern life. Using words, pictures, film and sound influences to make ambiguous and sometimes contradictory final work.

I have always had a tendency to express ideas and emotions with visual images. I enjoy the process of using cameras and computers to document time and place, or simply to take a closer look at a fragment of modern life.

David Cheung

My works encompasses mixed medias installation, performances, painting, sculpture, mail art and web-based art projects.

I believe that art could be welcoming and embracing, such that I have been conducting virtual and real life projects involving audiences, the public, other artists and politicians as active participants.

Through planned interactivities, audiences/participants and I could interact, collaborate and experience the art projects collectively; physically, mentally and sometimes spiritually.

Dayna McLeod is a video and performance artist who likes to poke and prod feminism, homophobia, and sexually oriented stereotypes with irony, sex toys, and funny business. She has traveled extensively with her performance work, and her videos have played from London Ontario to London England- across Europe, North America, South America, Asia and a few times on TV. She majored in Sculpture in college, Open Media in grad school, and is currently working on a three-part animation with funding from le Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec about the trials and tribulations of Vagina Dentata.

Dazibao

dazibao.jpg

Dazibao is an artist-run centre dedicated to the dissemination of contemporary photography. Rather than limiting us, this focus on one discipline prompts a singular confrontation with the medium, a multi-faceted reflection. In a context in which increasingly we speak of images in a generic sense, this focus allows us to defy the very notion of photography and explore its most unusual uses.
