My art practice combines various elements of interactivity, performance, intervention, installation, animation and video to investigate social spaces, implicating the viewer/participant in the processes that make events meaningful to destabilize ideas of high culture for a politically/socially engaged content. Through institutional critique and a self-reflexive criticality in relation to my own practice, my projects aim to disrupt concepts of normalcy and function as catalysts for dialogue.

My artistic research takes on different forms, such as video art, installation, performance, photography, drawing, and writing. My work springs from a desire to link formalism and performative process, as well as to create complex and poetic visual situations out of a handful of elements. In them, the body is alternately manipulating and manipulated, object and instrument, inert and active, motor and motif. Whatever the medium used, each gesture is a way to articulate thought, to take position physically and poetically with respect to a wide spectrum of concerns.
