Julie Saragosa sits on fences, stands in doorways, dances in corners and watches from the crowd. Since she can't decide, film is the medium she uses most because it combines everything-almost, taking the DIY approach to almost-everything. Vancouver is currently her home, where she studies interdisciplinarity at Simon Fraser University.

"Interdisciplinarity can mean a lot of things. I have collaborated with artists from different and diverse disciplines, this is one approach.
But, another approach, one I work with most, is by working in-between,
like a trickster does - sort of waffling and not settling on any one
mode of presenting an idea. I work intuitively, allowing the work to form
out of the idea I have, and using what resources are available. My work
tends to be time-based, moving fluidly between film, performance, and
time-based installation."
